High quality, properly installed storm windows reduce air infiltration and heat loss. The type of frame and component material on a storm window is important because it contributes to the storm window's heat conductivity and maintenance. Our vinyl windows are made of the newest generation of polyvinyl chlorides with special ultraviolent light(UV) stabilizers to keep the material color from breaking down.

Vinyl frames are a better insulator than aluminum or wood. Vinyl storm windows reduce energy loss by preventing the outside air from reaching the primary window with weather-stripping and seals tight to the primary window. This increases insulation by a factor of about R-1, and the seal formed with the primary window reduces air infiltration into the home.
